Spiritual
Computing supports the spiritual development of children at Esh Winning Primary School by, encouraging and promoting tolerance towards individual’s beliefs via the use of ICT. Children are made aware of the limitations and abuse across the world wide web, when they are able to question and justify aims values and principles of their own beliefs and opinions.
Moral
Moral development is aided by the teaching and learning of Computing, through focusing on the impact that changes to ICT have on the environment. It also allows the children to question and discuss how the old ways of work and employment have change due to the rapid growth of technology and the technical advances that are being made daily.
Social
Children are given every opportunity to work in groups and share their ideas during Computing lessons. The importance of online safety plays a huge part in all of our Computing lessons. We ensure that our children understand the advantages and disadvantages of social media, as well as discussing the issues surrounding incidents of cyber bullying, photoshopping and trolling.
Cultural
We provide our children with the incite to recognise that there are inequalities within the world of technology and media. They are aware that more developed counties have access to this want, whereas others are just using limited technology to fulfil their needs. The children understand that technology effects different cultures and different backgrounds in varying ways.
